DSP

DSP chips are a single-core floating-point DSP processor that supports HiFi 5 core with a frequency running up to 800MHz. It's applicable in areas such as EOC, RNC, AVAS, ASQ, ICC, advanced surround sound effects, and partitioned voice enhancement (uplink).


Application Scenario

1. Voice Preprocessing

Partitioned voice recognition is widely used in new energy vehicles. Each passenger can independently use voice commands for vehicle control or entertainment without interfering with each other. Before sending the voice for recognition to the cockpit or the cloud, high-performance DSP is critical to enhance the multi-channel and low-SNR voice picked up by the microphone array (echo cancellation, adaptive beamforming, noise reduction, etc.). The CCD5001 contains 8 full-duplex and serial audio interfaces, , which achieves 256 channels of low-latency input and output at 48kHz sampling rate, using TDM32 data format . The high-performance HiFi5 core provides powerful and real-time processing capabilities for multi-channel data.


2. Active Road Noise Cancellation

As motors gradually replace internal combustion engines, the main noise in the cabin mainly comes from low-frequency broadband noise caused by road surface bumps instead of engine noise under the low-speed driving. The mainstream solution for active road noise cancellation involves a multi-channel feedforward adaptive control method referenced by acceleration sensors. CCD5001 has a FIR hardware acceleration engine with the frequency of 1GHz, capable of completing the task of multi-channel feedforward filtering with extremely low latency, allowing valuable DSP core to be used for adaptive weight updates, virtual acoustics, and other complex tasks.


3. Advanced surround sound effects

Quiet and personalized cabin experiences have become fiercely competitive field in the market of middle-and-high-end passenger car. Utilizing a high-performance DSP can achieve audio rendering algorithms and real-time up mixing of stereo audio source providing passengers high-end experiences with surround, spatial audio.

With high-performance DSP core and multi-channel serial audio channels, CCD5001 serves as an ideal platform for realizing the above applications.


4. Pedestrian Warning Sound / Active Sound Wave

Based on AVAS mandatory standards, the cabin needs to provide audio service while also emitting pedestrian warning sounds that comply with regulations.

Furthermore, due to the trend that buyers become younger and younger in the new energy vehicle market, interactive entertainment functions are receiving more attention.

Using cabin speakers and high-performance DSP processors can obtain real-time engine speed via the CAN bus, and simulate real-time engine noise through ASQ algorithms.

CCD5001 provides 2 QSPI, 1 OSPI interface, combined with SPI Flash devices, it can easily achieve AVAS and ASQ functions under a unified audio framework.


5.In-car Communication Compensation

During high-speed driving, the main factor of cabin noise is wind noise caused by the impact of high-speed airflow on the glass and vehicle body.

Due to the complexity of wind noise, there is no practical active suppression method.

In this situation, in-car conversations requires both parties to raise their voices, which can lead to fatigue and dangerous driving over time.

The cabin amplifier's microphones and speakers can realize local amplification. Enhanced voice allows long-term relaxing communication between both parties during high-speed driving, thus reducing driving hazards.

However, due to the size limitations, such enhancements require extremely low latency, placing high demands on DSP core performance and the number of audio channels.

CCD5001 can provide basic audio effects and additional resources for low-latency applications, making it an ideal core processor for overall audio solutions.
